More Vision Therapy Exercises: Meet the Wayne Saccadic Fixator

The Wayne Saccadic Fixator

Many patients who receive vision therapy have problems with eye movements, peripheral vision and different aspects of hand-eye coordination.  To help them overcome these difficulties, we use the Wayne Saccadic Fixator. The Wayne Saccadic Fixator has been used by development optometrists for testing, evaluating and developing accurate and rapid eye-hand coordination, spatial integration and reaction times.  It’s been widely used by athletes, including the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” US Olympic hockey team.

In this video, Dr. Kellye Knueppel explains how we use the Wayne Saccadic Fixator as part of our vision therapy treatment.
