What brought you to The Vision Therapy Center?
I like working with families.
What’s your favorite part about being a therapist?
Not only working with families, but seeing the amazing changes that can occur with the patients. I especially enjoy seeing the dramatic changes in the kids.
What has amazed you about vision therapy?
I’m amazed by how much a family this staff is, and how much everyone cares about their patients.
Favorite Movie: The Princess Bride
Favorite Book: I have many. I love science-fiction (fantasy). My favorite authors are Terry Brooks and Piers Anthony.
Hobbies: Fly fishing, regular fishing, golf, landscaping, fly tying, woodworking, and reading.
Family: Wife: Jen. Two daughters: Lilly & Lauren. Cat: Ringo.
My favorite thing to do: Being outside and playing with my kids.

What brought you to The Vision Therapy Center?
Curiously, I answered an ad in the paper for a Vision Therapist. I thought, “What is that?”
What’s your favorite part about being a therapist?
Helping people so they don’t have to go through the struggles of learning with a vision problem – like I did. It’s no fun.
What has amazed you about vision therapy?
How little the public knows about this.
Favorite Movie: The Shawshank Redemption
Favorite Book: Charlotte’s Web
Hobbies: I’m a singer and a keyboard player in a rock band. I like riding my motorcycle, cooking and entertaining.
Family: A wonderful husband, 1 dog and 2 cats.
My favorite thing to do: Take a long walk on a beautiful day with my husband and dog.

The continued desire to work face-to-face with children.

Interacting with clients and watching them progress.

The impact it can have on a person’s life.

What brought you to The Vision Therapy Center?
My teaching career and some students I had with learning disabilities.
What’s your favorite part about being a therapist?
Working one-on-one with children. After being a teacher for years and always feeling like I never had enough time for each child, this is rewarding and delightful.
What has amazed you about vision therapy?
How it can change a child’s or adult’s life and often their attitude.
Favorite Movie: Sound of Music or Pretty Woman
Favorite Book: Bridges of Madison County or Charlotte’s Web
Hobbies: Playing the piano, gardening, playing with my grandchildren, singing.
Family: Husband: Marty. Children: son Mark (married to Hayley with son Tom), daughter Joy (married to Frans with daughters Audrey and Elise), and son Thomas (married to Mandy).
My favorite thing to do: Vacation with hubby and garden.

What brought you to The Vision Therapy Center?
I was interested in working in the healthcare field and had a special interest in working with children.
What’s your favorite part about being a therapist?
The interaction with my patients, and seeing them reach their fullest potential.
What has amazed you about vision therapy?
I think the most amazing part of vision therapy is how many facets of a patient it impacts for the better. Vision therapy improves the overall quality of life for a patient.

Hobbies: Spending time with my family, reading, fishing.
